Royal Rangers Yukon Sled-a-rama departs Friday at 4:00 and returns Sunday at 2:00.  Cost is $35, and boys should dress to be outside!!!

Crossroads is hosting Servants of Shelter (SOS) February 5 – 12.   We need teams of people to volunteer in a variety of areas:  set-up, supervising 4 hour shifts, bringing meals, washing bedding, tear-down, etc.  We also need donations of sack lunch supplies and bus tokens.

Congratulations to Ed Kvaale, whom was re-elected to serve on the church board for another three years.

The Rangers sledding night has been rescheduled for this Wednesday with First Assembly of God.  Boys should dress warmly, bring a sled (if they have one), and be ready to leave Crossroads by 6:30 PM.

Our Annual Meeting is today at 1:30 PM.  There will not be a fellowship dinner, although fellowship dinners will be discussed at the annual meeting. We will have a board election and will be voting on three amendments (posted on the bulletin board).  Nominees for the board include Mike Bakke, Joshua Frederick, Ed Kvaale (Incumbent), Joel Larson, and Steve Nattrass.  If you have any business to discuss, please contact Board Secretary Peter Rood or Pastor John.

The greeter is responsible to ensure that every person entering the church is greeted and that visitors are offered assistance as appropriate so that everyone feels important and welcome. Greeters will be asked to serve during special events also.

Anticipated Time Commitments

1. Doing ministry/preparing for ministry: one hour a month—more during special events

2. Participating in meetings/training: minimal, as needed

3. Arrival Time: Arrive half an hour before service starts

Responsibilities/Duties

1. Greet members and guests as they enter or exit the building.

2. Greet visitors at the welcome center and provide information as needed or requested.

3. Direct visitors to classes, nursery, sanctuary, restrooms, etc.

4. Introduce visitors to church staff, teachers and members of similar age when possible.

5. Open doors for/assist the elderly or disabled.

We are excited about our new church campus that is being planted in East Grand Forks.  Pastor Matt Dehnert and his wife Susie are our campus pastors.  We are looking at a Fall 2012 start date.  Stay tuned for more details.

Grief Share:  Surviving the Holidays is being hosted at Calvary Lutheran Church Sunday, Dec. 4 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM.  This seminar features a video with Christian experts and a biblical perspective on grief and recovery, followed by a time of support group discussion.  Cost is $5 for materials.  Please register by November 28 at 751-1893.

Stocking Project—We are once again collecting stocking stuffers for the Eagle’s Nest Ministry, ministering to Red Lake.  If you would like to help John & Linda Keers in their ministry to the kids at Eagle’s Nest and help them reach out to the women’s shelter and homeless shelter there, please bring in your non-breakable, unwrapped items by Sunday, December 4.  Suggestions for boys and girls include:  stretchy gloves, hats, toy cars, jewelry, lotion, chapstick, small toys, combs/brushes, travel size games, coloring or activity books & crayons/markers, and socks.
